Super!

Wow. It says Thursday (hmm, 05/05/05) on my clock…which means tomorrow, I will see Trent Reznor. I’m pretty excited. It’ll be awesome. OH SNAP! YES! Sorry, that was supposed to be part of the same thought.

The new album is awesome too. The leaked mp3s don’t do it justice at ALL. Well, unless you don’t have a 1000 watt surround sound stereo in your living room…then you’re probably not missing much with just the mp3s. But alas, if you DO have a 1000 watt surround sound stereo (well… 500 watts most of the time.. 1000 at the peak if I’m trying to test the foundation of the building…) there’s so much more to this album it’s CRAZY! And this was $11.99 at Best Buy. That’s so cheap. There’s lots of extra stuff on it too like videos and …other stuff too, I haven’t really checked it out because we had to watch The Incredibles but I got to see some good stuff anyway. The surround-sound enhanced songs that I did hear were really awesome. It’s not just a noise in the back every once in a while, the songs are mixed to take full advantage of all the speakers.

I’m really tired and I think I should go to sleep now.

I took this 2 nights ago with my new camera that I love.

Trent is my hero. Still.

Click here to download the samples used in the new nine inch nails album. Yea, that’s right, make your own songs with the same sounds that Trent used. Holy crap this is crazy!

If anyone messes with this let me know, I want to hear some mixes! I’ll probably throw together something of my own if I get a chance.

The files are for garageband but if you’ve got a pc, there’s still some hope. But it might take a while before you can actually use the files…

Ok, so the original file is a .sit file. Just like a .zip but the crazy “mac” way of doing it. Go to http://www.stuffit.com/win/index.html to download a program that will let you extract the file.

Now you’re stuck with a .dmg file. (oh how fun…) You’ll need to get this little tool (this is where it might get tricky) http://vu1tur.eu.org/tools/ to change the dmg file (a mac-format cd image) to an iso (a pc-format cd image). I had trouble getting the windows binary to do anything other than crash on a memory error… But if you have access to a linux box (or have perl installed on windows) you can use the perl script to convert the file.

Once again, you still can’t use it …yet. The cd image can be read by your pc but the file format is still mac-isized. Click here to get daemon tools. You can use this to emulate the cd drive (acts like the cd is in your drive even though it’s still just a file on your computer).

Now you can use mac drive (http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive6/freetrial.asp) to get to the files and finally…copy them to your computer.

That was altogether too much to do… If you’d just like the files, let me know and I’ll get them to you.

New Developments…

I actually got tickets. I paid a lot for them. I’m going to see Nine Inch Nails the Friday after their new CD comes out. I’m kinda excited…like woah. Sadly, we won’t be able to see Crystal Method since they’re also appearing on Friday. In other news, I’m still working on my Dr. Mario knockoff thats going to make me a million dollars. Ok so maybe it’s a class assignment. Ow, the sun is burning my ear i have to lean to the right. There, that’s better. Though not entirely comfortable… I’m supposed to go home again next weekend. Anyone want to give me a ride? I think that would be better than $90 for the train. AH, the sun is coming more in the window and burning my face! Time to go back to the couch…
