Checkout http://www.podcast.net/ if you haven't already -- everything from technology to comedy to religion (is that a coherent continuum or what ?) Most of the 'casts based out of California. Most pretty amateurish but some funny -- and in some cases they were actually meant to be funny !

The midwest -- Silicon Prairie -- would be virgin territory for this medium -- lots of opportunity !</description>
