Busy Busy Busy

Yea, that’s what everyone says. It’s never really true though. I do feel like I’m getting stuff done once in a while. And sometimes even more often than that. Still working 9-5 (which usually turns out to be 10:30-4:30) and I feel like I’ve written that a hundred times already. Oh well, I’m bored and I have nothing better to write about. Here, I’ll prove it…

I got my xbox all up and running with a mod chip and a new hard drive and an n64 emulator and an snes emulator. So that should provide some entertainment once school starts.

Atom and I thought that maybe one of his future roomates-to-be was related to a guy I know…but I don’t think it’s true…cause I see the guy like every day and he’s never said anything about a relative going to the same school as me. But then maybe he was keeping it a secret…

Hot Hot Atom (12:24:52 AM): but really we already know..so you are gonna tell him, and he is gonna be sad, and then he is gonna give me 50 bucks
HacKnight (12:25:09 AM): that’d be sweet, can we split it?
Hot Hot Atom (12:25:31 AM): only if he actually gives us like 100 bucks
Hot Hot Atom (12:25:37 AM): then id share
HacKnight (12:26:05 AM): ok well i’ll tell him that the costs of his negligence have multiplied!
Hot Hot Atom (12:26:15 AM): ooo, i like that idea

I’ve been playing some Doom 3 lately and I must say that the game lives up to the hype 100%. On a related note, there’s less than 46 hours till we leave for quakecon. We’re pulling out all the stops and traveling in style this year. We’re taking my mom’s minivan. Lemme tell ya, it doesn’t get much better than that. Hopefully we’ll get to film lots of stuff like we usually do so we can show everyone the good times down in texas.

So really…this post wasn’t really *for* anything so you can just ignore it…unless you already got this far…then I’m sorry I wasted your time. I’ll write some decent posts once school starts and I have something decent to write about.

The Night of Blinds

Chicago is great. I mean, that was an awesome trip…like…seriously. We (Marissa, Lauren, Kim, and I) got on the 8:27 train (barely) into the city and met up with people (Jeff, Tom, Gideon, Brian, Pat, Megan, Karl, Bobby, Ishan…well…there were about 30 altogether so I’m just gonna stop trying to remember everyone) at the magic bean (or jelly bean, or just bean…no one actually calls it by it’s real name “cloud gate”…it sounds lame). After that we wandered around the park and headed towards the lake (to join 500,000 other people) where they were shooting off the fireworks for venetian night

After the fireworks we walked around and checked out some of the boats that were decorated. The theme this year was “Broadway on the Lake” and many shows were represented, from “Music Man” to “South Pacific”…although, by the time we got there it sounded more like “Missy Elliot in Get your freak on” which I was unaware had been turned into a broadway production…but the boat people might have been confused…because they were all drinking.

We eventually wound up at Navy Pier where we got ice cream and hung out by the fountain. It was cool. Marissa, Lauren, Kim and I played the “Check Banana” game…where you find hot guys and say “Check Banana” or something…but I must have been messing it up cause they were just laughing at me. I guess I’m just used to the more open approach that guys use…like “she’s hot.”

Pretty soon we walked back to the train. Everyone else took the bus, but we got there first, HA! Well, really it was a tie…but we saved money and got a lot of exercise, therefore: we win!

Ok, time for sleep. Gotta work tomorrow, then at night we’re watching 2 movies! Holy cow!
