Greetings from Williamsburg

Didn’t do much today…yet. Slept till noon or so, then just chilled around the hotel reading and watching TV and stuff. We’re heading over to Ross, Dean, and Julia’s house for dinner so I might have some pictures of them to post later tonight. (you may remember them from previous pics I’ve posted)

Oh, speaking of reading. I finished The DaVinci Code (very good book by the way) and now I’m reading Mount Dragon by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. They are fantastic writers and are frequently described as “Michael Crichton..but with much more detail.” If you’re into those kind of books, you’ll definitely like anything that Preston and Child have written. Mount Dragon is about genetic engineering and, so far, is similar to The Andromeda Strain (don’t know if that’s spelled right…). If you’re looking for a good read though, start with The Relic, Preston and Child’s first book. It’s good. The movie they made about it isn’t as good.

Alright, enough about that, I’m outta here. We’re gonna stop by K-Mart on the way over to get some paint for the kids (Ross, Dean, and Julia) to paint some wooden stars my mom got for them.

Happy 4th-of-July eve!

Farewell Glen Ellyn

And we’re off. On an adventure. To the mighty land of VIRGINIA!

We took the small plane…that’s only 3 seats wide. There were a few guys in the front that couldn’t even stand up all the way. I laughed. Alright well it’s late already and we’re chilling in the hotel and watching some tv so I’m gonna take off. More updates later!

Spiderman 3: Tobey Maguire vs. Jake Gyllenhaal

Mary-Jane Watson’s interest in Peter Parker is insatiable. The closer she and Peter get, the more she is pushed back; yet still, she presses on. She’s so sure there’s something between them that she’s willing to risk losing a good life over a virtually unattainable happiness. It’s always the ‘guy on top’ that peaks her interest. First it was Harry. Then she found out his beauty was only skin deep so she set her sights on Peter. He turned out to be a confused little boy so then she chased after an astronaut. And since you can’t get much higher than the moon, that held her interest…for a while.

The only reason Mary-Jane finally changed her mind about marrying astro-boy was because she knew that Peter was spiderman. Since being spiderman means he has superhuman powers…oh there we go, he’s more powerful than any human on earth…possibly the sort of guy that…any girl would be interested in? And yea, just so no one complains, I’m not totally ignorant about Peter’s other traits…because those are the ones that are emphasized in the movie…I’m just telling you the *real* motivation behind it all: spider-sex. But whatever, I guess most of the time we don’t even need to look further than next door to find an award-winning actress who’s pleasing to the eyes and hopelessly in love with me. I mean, I’ve got one on either side of my house. So, my status as Batman (secretly) lets me choose either one. But I like the one on the left better, so you’ll never end up seeing the other one.

And…this is all true.

I’ve really run out of interest on this topic…and I’m getting kinda tired…so I’m just gonna ramble for a bit………more. Work’s lame, I want to quit and start my own company already. Of course, if I try to do that I’ll have more money thrown at me and be told to stay put…and I don’t think I could feel more guilt than if I was making even *more* money than I already am.

If anyone at work is reading this…ignore that last part. What I meant was: I’d rather just have the money *handed* to me instead of thrown.

PS, about that movie…there’s spoilers above. Just thought I’d put that in as a little warning in case you haven’t seen the movie.

PSS, doesn’t mean anything, the proper abbreviation is PPS
