We went over to Ross, Dean, and Julia’s and had some good times. Ross and Dean were the usual out-of-control little kids. Julia was the usual “older and wiser” sister.

The painting was the best part. Ross and Dean quickly finished painting their stars and moved onto the table, their faces, etc. Soon we gave them some big pieces of paper to paint on because everything was turning into a mess. Julia’s star turned out pretty decent, with careful attention paid to staying inside the borders and dividing the canvas for multiple colors.

We played outside for a while, hide-and-seek, etc. Julia wanted to catch fireflies. I went back inside to talk to the “grown-ups” and read a bit while Greg kept the young-uns occupied.
