Farewell Glen Ellyn | Home | Pictures, as promised…

July 3, 2004

Greetings from Williamsburg

Didn’t do much today…yet. Slept till noon or so, then just chilled around the hotel reading and watching TV and stuff. We’re heading over to Ross, Dean, and Julia’s house for dinner so I might have some pictures of them to post later tonight. (you may remember them from previous pics I’ve posted)

Oh, speaking of reading. I finished The DaVinci Code (very good book by the way) and now I’m reading Mount Dragon by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. They are fantastic writers and are frequently described as “Michael Crichton..but with much more detail.” If you’re into those kind of books, you’ll definitely like anything that Preston and Child have written. Mount Dragon is about genetic engineering and, so far, is similar to The Andromeda Strain (don’t know if that’s spelled right…). If you’re looking for a good read though, start with The Relic, Preston and Child’s first book. It’s good. The movie they made about it isn’t as good.

Alright, enough about that, I’m outta here. We’re gonna stop by K-Mart on the way over to get some paint for the kids (Ross, Dean, and Julia) to paint some wooden stars my mom got for them.

Happy 4th-of-July eve!
