I had my birthday on Sunday.
Well…I didn’t so much *have* my birthday as: it happened, just like it always does. My parents gave me some money and I spent 150% of it in less than an hour. I’m also saving up for a car.
So what do I do? I read, I sleep, I sleep in, I get up at about 11, go to work, listen to how I *should tell people if I’m gonna be late*, work for 30 mins, eat lunch, work for 5 hours, come home, eat dinner, clean/paint/arrange/scatter things around the house, hang out with people, talk to people on the phone, listen to Radiohead, watch the minutes slowly pass, read, then go to sleep again…
It was my 20th birthday. I’m still younger than most juniors, though not nearly all of them. I got a haircut today, for free, because I’m so cool. I bought a new scanner and a printer. Add that to the rest and I’ve got 3 presents. And don’t get me one just because I said that.
I’m not waiting anymore. It used to feel like the world moved at 1,000 frames per second…which gives you a whole lot of frames to think about things. Now it’s back to 24. I threw away the script and they just called ACTION.
Who needs the box of chocolates anyway?
